Obtaining a Blue Card

It is compulsory for all members of our Association who are active cricket umpires to have a Blue Card (or in the case of registered teachers - an exemption card). These cards are also referred to as "Suitability Cards". Members will not be allocated to fixtures without being in possession of this card.

Ian Barsby Blue Cards are issued by the Public Safety Business Agency once it has carried out a background check to see if a person is eligible to work in the areas of child-related work covered by the Agency's Act. If a person is eligible, they are issued a positive notice letter and a Blue Card. Ian Barsby is in charge of all enquiries and is the nominated officer to sight your identification and forms. Ian will be at all our general meetings, but if you have to contact him please email or ring him on 0478 839 930.
